Research Areas: Thermal Photonics and Topology in Thermal Engineering
Team Profiles
Prof. Qiu Cheng-Wei
Prof. Qiu is a Provost’s Chair Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NUS and an internationally leading scholar in nanophotonics, metamaterials, and structured light-field control. His research spans metasurface optics, nanoscale light manipulation, topological optics, and quantum optics. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of eLight and sits on the editorial boards of Laser & Photonics Reviews, Advanced Optical Materials, ACS Photonics, and other top journals, exerting significant influence on the global development of optics and materials science.
Prof. Jun Lu
Prof. Jun Lu joined the Departments of Chemistry and Physics at NUS in February 2025 as a Presidential Young Professor. His research focuses on chiral nano–topological engineering, thermal photonics, ultrafast light–heat interactions, and structured light. Group website: www.junlulab.com
